Shanghai Dawn

This is part of Tim’s  Cities series are cards taken from a successful series of monoprints first shown in the Circus Gallery in Marylebone London. Each card is A6 size 105 x 148 mm 4.13 x 5.83 inches and comes in a cello bag  with an envelope. Illustrated by Tim in gouache, wash and ink. £4 each or 3 for £10. Shanghai is my entry into China. The city is cut in two by the Huangpu River.  Tall towers, architectural flights of fancy, dwarf side-streets.  I discover one street close to the hotel is crammed full of artist material shops.
