Drawing Albania: Albania is a remarkable country.

“Albania is home to some of the Classical world’s most fabulous sites but is frequently overshadowed by its southerly neighbour. It holds a rich panoply of Classical remains. We visited Appollonia.  At the bucolic site of Antigoneia we learnt about its famous founder Pyrrhus of Epirus (319/318–272 BC). In Durres we marvel at the splendid Roman amphitheatre.

More.. in Butrint we soak up the atmosphere of what is arguably the most beautiful combination of archaeology and nature in the Mediterranean. We explored Gjirokastër, and Berat, the 2,400-year-old “city of a thousand windows”, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
