JOYOUS DISCOVERIES
I am on the mailing list of a number of London galleries. It is recommended pastime. Occasionally these galleries these put out wonderful insights on a particular artist that they may be showing or a short film about a specific artist and a look inside their studio. These pieces are never very long in terms of making huge demands on our eyeballs/screen time. However they are often immensely insightful.
I have decided to become a “clearinghouse” on this occasion and will include links and search so that you might have the option to look/consume/enjoy if you wish and have the time or like me save for later.
The other day in my inbox
A wonderful piece on Stanley Spencer from Piano Nobile – a very new angle on his work for someone who might only see this painter in the context of Cookham on the Thames. InSight is their editorial series that takes a detailed look at the stories and history surrounding a highlighted artwork and its artist.

Now my good friend and NY contributor Martha Gelnaw draws some interesting strings and ideas around how the painter Georges Seurat’s made studies and grew ideas for A Sunday on La Grande Jatte” She makes meaning for these in the context of business leadership challenges. https://presence-impact.com/2025/03/26/leadership-evolves-a-study-for-a-sunday-on-la-grande-jatte/
Martha said in her cover note
“I know. I make crazy, unconventional connections”…. connections well-made says I.
