Commissions – Collaborative art
One of the most exciting areas of painting in which I work is the creation of specific pieces for a commission.
It is often a particular place, sometimes a house, sometimes a coastal area or landscape that is special my clients.
Please get in touch for an exploratory conversation if you have an idea for a painting you’d like.
“We found Tim’s studio on a recent open studio tour on our first day in the UK. His was the last studio we visited, but we clearly saved the best for last!
His evocative use of color and pattern took us from the hills of Wiltshire to the coast of Wales. We loved all of his work and were fortunate that, in addition to his larger works, he had also painted dimensionally smaller pieces which we could take back with us to the US.
On top of the beautiful paintings, our visit introduced us to a painter with infectious enthusiasm for life and all of the joy it holds.
Our time with Tim was one of the highlights of our trip to England.”

I recently completed a large gouache and watercolour painting of a vicarage, a family home.
The client responded to the painting with some very generous words
“Tim was very open to the brief and really gave a sense of helping us to find the best angle for the house.
He kept us updated on progress and went above and beyond to deliver it in secret (as it was a present)!
The picture itself looks fantastic – better than I could have hoped – and is a lasting memory of the house at that point (we are in the middle of restoring it).
We will undoubtedly commission another once we have finished the restoration works”.
